Can we bring Children?

We ask parents not to bring infants and very young children (under age 6) to performances unless the performances are specifically programmed for them. All children, regardless of age, must be ticketed.

Where is the Parking?

There are two parking areas for the Ford Center for the Performing Arts. One is beside and north of the center; additional parking is available in lots across University Avenue to the south of the facility.

When should we Arrive?

Please arrive early out of respect for the performers and other members of the audience. The outside lobby doors will open at least one hour prior to curtain. Doors to the theater will open approximately 30 minutes before curtain time.

What is the Late Seating Policy?

In order to ensure that audience members have the best experience possible, the Ford Center will have limited seating opportunities once the show has begun. If you arrive after the lights go down you may not enter the theater until there is an appropriate break in the performance. If there are none, you must wait until intermission to take your seat.

What is the Refund Policy?

There are no ticket refunds unless a performance is canceled by the Ford Center. In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will receive a refund.

I’ve Lost my Tickets!

If you have misplaced or lost your tickets, please contact the UM Box Office at 662-915-7411 and we are happy to assist you.

Elevators

Elevators are located just inside the first-floor Orchestra lobby area and go to each level of the theatre.

Can we Record the Performance?

Cameras and recording devices of any type are not permitted in the Ford Center. Violators are subject to removal. Please remember to turn off all noise-producing pagers, electronic watch alarms and cellular phones before entering the theater.

Is the Ford Center Accessible?

Wheelchair-Accessible Entrances

Two entrances to the Ford Center are wheelchair-accessible. One is the main entrance to the building on the first floor (orchestra level), which is accessible from the parking lot. A second is the University Avenue entrance on the third floor (mezzanine level). Both of these entrances have ADA accessible-accessible doors.

Accessible Parking

ADA accessible-designated parking spaces are located just North of the orchestra-level entrance.

Seating

The Box Office staff is happy to assist you in finding seats that best meet your needs. Please call us at 662-915-7411 and we will work with you to determine a good location for you and your group.

Accessible seating and wheelchair space is available on the Orchestra, Mezzanine, and Balcony levels of the theatre. Patrons wishing to remain in their wheelchair instead of transferring to a theatre seat should request wheelchair space when ordering tickets. These spaces include a seat for one additional guest. Please note that staff and volunteers cannot assist patrons in transferring to theatre seats.

Sign Language Interpreted Performances

Sign language interpretation is available when requested three weeks prior to the performance. To request this service, contact the director of the Ford Center at 662- 915-7411. This service is subject to the availability of a qualified interpreter.

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices are available at no cost from the Box Office for all performances. Anyone with or without a hearing aid may use the equipment from any seat in the theatre.

Large-Print Programs

For performances with printed programs, QR Codes are available.

Restrooms

Handicap-accessible restrooms are available on the orchestra and mezzanine levels.
