An Interdisciplinary Arts Extravaganza for Elementary and Middle School with Music, Poetry, Surprises featuring Ken Waldman from Anchorage, Alaska, Tim Avalon & Mary Fitzgerald from Clinton, Mississippi, Jamie & Katie (Kat) Berrier from Florence, Alabama, Cody Ruth from Greenville, Mississippi, and Greg Johnson from Oxford, Mississippi
Alaska’s Fiddling poet, Ken Waldman, brings a troupe of all-star Mississippi musicians for a fast-paced interdisciplinary program of music, stories, and poetry that incorporates Mississippi education standards. Teachers will have access to a show-specific study guide prior to Ken’s appearance. Students will leave with handouts, including a Ken Waldman poetry bookmark, and a Ken Waldman poem written specifically for this event.
